PreTrip Details

Barb and I are off to the UK to see David and Sue, Cambridge, (note Oxford comma!  Have to join 'em!) and other exciting sites.

We leave in a couple of days.  There is packing and how much cold/wet gear to bring.

David's golf club does not allow "trainers" in the club house, so I may have to pack more than one pair of shoes too.  They don't allow blue jeans or track suits either, so I've had to buy some trousers (an English word, it seems "pants" are worn under trousers in the UK.  "A people divided by a common language" or however it goes!)

Other exciting opportunities:

• Take some pictures
• Play some bridge
• Play some golf
• Try some snooker (Look for Ronnie O'Sullivan on youtube)
• The odd excursion or two

 I'm going to take my cell phone and put a local SIM card in it and have a UK number.  I'll pass on the exciting details as we go along.

A different David did a travel blog for one of his trips and it was enjoyable reading.  It's the least I can do to try to pass on some pleasure to my many readers.  (I'm talking about you, mom!)
